A very cool place to take the kids in the middle of Striesen!
I love this restaurant. I’ve been coming here for 17 years. It has a beautiful grassy biergarten, and interesting food. Great for kids to run around.
Great place for beer and food. They even sell their own brand of beer called Horstbräu. The restaurant is located inside an allotment garden plot which makes you forget the city around it.
This is why the large outside area with sheltered seating is super busy on warmer days. Come early, be prepared to wait a bit or simply join someone else's table. They don't do reservations outside. Food and drinks must be ordered inside and usually take very little time to be delivered to your table.
Inside the restaurant you can reserve a table no problem. It has a pub-like charm and can sometimes be quite loud. So don't necessarily take your significant other there for a romantic evening. :)
Nice beer garden. Today food took 90 min (for the half of our group who was lucky enough to get food at all). The others of us where told that they cannot take orders any more (8:30pm). Bad luck! But what truly annoyed me was that instead of being apologetic, the guy behind the bar was annoyed and unfriendly. Really?!?
Wonderful beer garden. Basic food and great outside set up. House beer is delicious like her with a little hop taste. Good play area for kids
Very tasty and not very expensive food. Unfortunately the waitress was very rude and killed the good vibe. Her "being overworked" shouldn't be the case to suggest that "the ordered round of shots was our last one"...
If the weather is good this is the perfect location for a family dinner. Playground and enclosed setting, beer and good food :-) happy times
